View on TelegramA very rare 1970 Citroën Type HY telescopic and expandable van modified by the French coachbuilder FILCA.
This unique vehicle features a patented modular body system designed by FILCA where the central section slides inside the two outer ends to double the van's total length when parked.
To support the extra weight and length of the extended module, the chassis is equipped with a standard front axle and two rear axles.
This clever design was built primarily for street markets, mobile field hospitals, or compact camping setups. The main motor cabin could actually be unhitched from the rear trailer module by locking the rear axle, allowing the owner to leave the living quarters stationary and use the front cab independently for transport.

Recent findings indicate that mitochondria may offer a pathway to decelerate or potentially reverse aspects of biological aging.
Long regarded as the energy generators within cells, mitochondria undergo a progressive deterioration whose causes have remained unclear. A significant study appearing in Nature Communications has now outlined a key process underlying this deterioration.
Investigators at the Leibniz Institute on Aging in Germany determined that the gradual reduction of a membrane lipid known as phosphatidylcholine substantially restricts the adaptability of mitochondria.
In the absence of this essential lipid, the cellular power centers become unable to merge and adjust effectively, resulting in energy shortages that hasten the bodily changes linked to growing older.
Particularly promising is the demonstration that the mechanism can be modified. When aging C. elegans nematodes and challenged human cell cultures received phosphatidylcholine or its precursor choline, the researchers observed a notable recovery of youthful mitochondrial form and performance.
Although experts emphasize that no single daily supplement will immediately restore youthfulness in people, the capacity to safeguard and rejuvenate these microscopic energy units marks an important advance in longevity science and supplies a clear objective for forthcoming treatments aimed at postponing age-related illnesses.

An Apple AirTag recently followed a consignment of uncommon volumes to a concealed Amazon artificial-intelligence site in Las Vegas, where the works are disassembled, digitized, and eliminated for the purpose of instructing AI systems.
An original inquiry has revealed the discreet methods by which major technology firms obtain printed books in order to develop machine-learning models, accomplished through the physical disassembly of the volumes themselves.
Suspecting that large-scale acquisitions of scarce and little-known titles were intended for AI development, reporters from 404 Media collaborated with an independent rare-book merchant to conceal an Apple AirTag within one volume included in an unnamed order of one thousand books. The device journeyed through several states before arriving at a restricted Amazon installation in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Within that warehouse a dedicated division identified as VGT3 methodically handles arriving books by severing their bindings, digitizing the contents, and then discarding the original physical copies.
This intensive digitization process underscores the extraordinary measures technology corporations are prepared to take in order to obtain superior training material, especially literature published before 2022 that contains no AI-generated text. As independent dealers observe their stocks being destroyed, growing legal and moral concerns arise regarding the conversion of copyrighted printed works into digital training sets followed by the disposal of the physical evidence. Amazon issued a short response defending the activity, stating that it acquires books through ordinary commercial means to enhance its offerings, yet the disclosure has sparked vigorous discussion about the organized elimination of tangible human knowledge to advance artificial systems.
