1️⃣ Divine Source – From God 🛐
Some people believed that God gave humans the ability to talk.
It’s like a special gift from above! ✨
2️⃣ Natural Sound Source – From Sounds Around Us 🌍
Humans may have started talking by copying sounds from nature, animals, feelings, or teamwork.
🐾 Bow‑Wow Theory – Copying Animals
People made words by copying animal sounds.
Example: “Woof” for a dog 🐶, “Meow” for a cat 🐱
😮 Pooh‑Pooh Theory – Copying Feelings
Talking started with sounds of emotions like pain, joy, or surprise.
Example: “Ouch!” when hurt, “Wow!” when amazed
🔔 Ding‑Dong Theory – Copying Nature
Words came from sounds in the world, like bells or wind.
Example: A bell goes “ding-dong,” and people made words that sounded similar
💪 Yo‑He‑Ho Theory – Talking While Working Together
People made sounds together while doing hard work.
Example: “Yo‑he‑ho!” while lifting or pulling something heavy
Later, these sounds became real words!
3️⃣ Oral‑Gesture / Ta‑Ta Theory 👋
People started talking using hand gestures and mouth sounds together.
The “Ta‑Ta” sound comes from moving the mouth like the hands move.
Example: Waving goodbye while saying “ta‑ta” → later became real words!
4️⃣ Glossogenetics 🧬
Language grew naturally as humans evolved.
Our brains, mouths, and social skills helped us learn to talk.
Example: Babies are born able to learn language, which shows it’s in our genes.
Fun fact: Scientists found a gene called FOXP2 that helps us speak!

🔴 Language Learning VS Language Acquisition
🔹Acquisition (Natural)
• Happens naturally without you really thinking about it (like a child).
• You pick up words and phrases through conversations.
• You don't memorize rules; you just "feel" when a sentence sounds right.
• It happens in real life, like watching movies or talking to friends.
🔹Learning (Academic)
• Happens through hard work and conscious effort.
• You focus on studying rules, grammar, and spelling.
• You can explain why a sentence is correct because you know the rules.
• It usually happens in school or from a textbook.
