📌 Ledger reveals how hidden chips stole wallet recovery keys
📊 Ledger has confirmed that an unauthorized hardware implant found inside a cryptocurrency signer sold by Southeast Asian reseller CryptoBilis can capture users’ 24-word recovery phrases and transmit them through a cellular network.
⭐️ Ledger disclosed the findings on October 13, following an investigation by its Donjon security team into cryptocurrency losses reported on October 9. The company confirmed the presence of an implant in one affected customer’s device on October 10 and said every fund loss it has verified in the incident involved devices purchased through CryptoBilis. The reseller has suspended Ledger signer sales while investigators examine the affected hardware.
⚠️ According to the company’s latest findings, the unauthorized component sits inside the wallet’s casing and monitors information displayed on its screen. During the initial setup process, a Ledger signer displays a 24-word recovery phrase that allows users to restore access to their cryptocurrency holdings. The implant contains a microcontroller that can read the information displayed during setup. When it detects recovery phrase screens, it decodes the words and transmits the information through an LTE connection using a provisioned eSIM. Ledger’s findings indicate that the component operates independently of the signer’s normal security systems.

🔔 Glimpse Is Back — Now Live With No KYC Required
💥 Glimpse has re-registered in Panama, and the move removes one of the biggest friction points for new and returning traders: signing up and trading on the platform no longer requires KYC.
💸 The core mechanics stay exactly the same. Instead of buying or shorting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana or Gold, you forecast the price range an asset will trade in — and get paid out in Bitcoin when your call is accurate. That means there's an opportunity whether the market climbs, drops, or goes sideways, not just during the big moves.
📊 Deposits and withdrawals still run on the Lightning Network, so transactions stay fast. With KYC out of the way, getting started now takes minutes.
If you checked out Glimpse before and stepped away, this is a good moment to come back — same markets, same payout mechanics, just a much faster way in.

⚠️ Vitalik Buterin says Ethereum is becoming a cryptographic world computer
🔖 Ethereum has begun moving toward what Vitalik Buterin calls a “cryptographic world computer,” with major changes planned to verification, consensus, privacy and state management after Hegotá. He expects future Ethereum architecture to combine blockchain consensus with zero-knowledge proofs, data sampling, privacy technology and decentralized off-chain computation.
📣 “Hegota — the fork planned for next year — is likely to be Ethereum’s last ‘normal’ fork,” Buterin wrote, referring to an upgrade whose technology would remain recognizable to developers familiar with Ethereum in 2015. The Hegotá upgrade remains in planning, and its complete scope has not been finalized. Two proposals are already scheduled. Frame Transactions, or EIP-8141, is the second scheduled feature. It lets Ethereum accounts decide how their transactions are authorized instead of requiring the same fixed signature structure for every user.
📊 One of the largest changes concerns how network participants verify blocks. Traditional blockchain verification requires nodes to download blockchain data and execute transactions themselves. Buterin expects Ethereum to rely increasingly on SNARK verification and PeerDAS data sampling. His comparison of blockchain designs describes the transition as moving from “full re-download and recompute” toward “SNARK verification + PeerDAS for data availability.”
